About the Role

Rainbow-Themes is hiring a WordPress Developer to join our creative and ambitious product team. We’re looking for someone with real experience building WordPress themes for ThemeForest, who understands what it takes to meet marketplace standards, create beautiful custom themes, and deliver pixel-perfect, performant user experiences.

While your primary focus will be ThemeForest-standard theme development, you’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to plugin development for both internal tools and marketplace releases. If you love working with WordPress and want to create products used by thousands, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality custom WordPress themes ready for ThemeForest
  
• Work with ACF, Custom Post Types, Customizer, and Theme Options to build flexible and user-friendly themes
  
• Collaborate with designers to convert Figma/Sketch files into responsive, interactive layouts
  
• Contribute to custom WordPress plugin development when required
  
• Ensure ThemeForest code quality and security standards
  
• Test and debug across modern browsers and devices
  
• Optimize performance, page speed, and SEO best practices
  
• Stay updated with WordPress core changes and industry trends

Required Skills

• At least 2+ years of professional WordPress development experience
  
• Solid knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  
• Strong understanding of ThemeForest coding standards
  
• Experience building fully responsive and cross-browser-compatible themes
  
• Good knowledge of WordPress Hooks, Actions, Filters, and APIs
  
• Basic Git/GitHub workflow understanding

Strong Plus Points

✅ Experience with approved WordPress themes on ThemeForest
✅ Familiarity with plugin development (for WordPress.org or bundled with themes)
✅ Skills in jQuery, React, or Vue.js
✅ Experience using Elementor, Gutenberg, or other page builders
✅ Comfortable debugging complex WordPress issues

Good to Have

• Knowledge of WPML, WooCommerce, and other popular plugins
  
• Awareness of theme security and performance optimization techniques
  
• Familiarity with Envato submission requirements
  
• Willingness to handle both theme and plugin-related responsibilities
  
• Strong attention to detail and clean, maintainable code practices
