Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify themes for the Shopify theme store.
• Implement responsive and user-friendly designs based on provided mockups or concepts.
• Optimize themes for performance, SEO, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve theme-related issues efficiently.
• Integrate third-party applications and APIs into Shopify stores for enhanced functionality.
• Collaborate with designers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals.
• Stay updated on Shopify updates, tools, and industry trends to deliver cutting-edge solutions.

Required Skills and Expertise

• Proficiency in Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (with a strong focus on modern practices).
• Deep understanding of Shopify’s architecture, theme development, and customization capabilities.
• Experience with Shopify APIs, Webhooks, and integrating third-party applications.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git/GitHub.
• Solid knowledge of Shopify Plus, advanced features, and tools is a plus.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in a Shopify environment.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of professional experience in Shopify theme development.
• Experience with Shopify themes approved in the Shopify Theme Store or sold on recognized marketplaces.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
