Rainbow-Themes License Policy

License Overview

At Rainbow-Themes, we offer two types of licenses for our digital products: the Regular License and the Extended License. Both licenses grant you, the purchaser, a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use the item. Below are the details of each license, including permitted and restricted uses.

1. Regular License

• Purpose: This license allows you to use the item to create a single End Product for yourself or for one client, which can be distributed for free
• End Product Definition:
  • Templates: A customized implementation of the item (e.g., a website theme customized with your content).
  • Other Items: A work incorporating the item as part of a larger, different project (e.g., a button graphic used in a website).
• Permitted Uses:
  • Create one End Product for a client and transfer it to the client for any fee. The license transfers to the client.
  • Make unlimited copies of the End Product as long as it’s distributed for free.
  • Modify, manipulate, and combine the item with other works to create a derivative work, provided it complies with the single application requirement.
• Restricted Uses:
  
  • You cannot sell the End Product, except to one client.
  • You cannot redistribute the item as stock, in a tool or template, or with source files, either on its own or bundled with other items.
  • You cannot use the item in applications allowing end users to customize digital or physical products for their specific needs, such as website builders or e-card generators, without purchasing a separate license for each final product.
  • You cannot extract and use components of the item on a stand-alone basis.
  • You cannot use the item in a logo, trademark, or service mark.
• Additional Terms:
  
  • Components sourced from elsewhere may have different license terms, which will apply instead of this license.
  • The item must only be used for lawful purposes and cannot be used in a way that creates a fake identity, implies personal endorsement, or is defamatory, obscene, or demeaning.

2. Extended License

• Purpose: This license allows you to use the item to create a single End Product for yourself or for one client, which can be sold.
• End Product Definition:
  • Templates: A customized implementation of the item (e.g., a magazine template customized to create a finished magazine).
  • Other Items: A work incorporating the item as part of a larger, different project (e.g., a set of icons used in a mobile app for sale).
• Permitted Uses:
  • Create the End Product for a client, with the license transferring to the client.
  • Sell and make unlimited copies of the End Product.
  • Modify, manipulate, and combine the item with other works to create a derivative work, provided it complies with the single application requirement.
• Restricted Uses:
  • This license does not permit multiple uses; it’s for a single application only.
  • You cannot re-distribute the item as stock, in a tool or template, or with source files, either on its own or bundled with other items.
  • You cannot use the item in applications allowing end users to customize digital or physical products for their specific needs without purchasing a separate license for each final product.
  • You cannot extract and use components of the item on a stand-alone basis.
  • You cannot use the item in a logo, trademark, or service mark.

3. Common Terms

• Lawful Use: All items must be used for lawful purposes only.
• Intellectual Property: Items containing digital versions of real products, trademarks, or other intellectual property are licensed for editorial use only. Obtaining clearance for such uses is the buyer’s responsibility.
• Termination: This license can be terminated if breached. Upon termination, you must cease using the item and destroy any copies.
• Ownership: The author retains ownership of the item, granting you a license under these terms.
